Bringing the Power of Produce to PCFMA’s Farmers’ Markets

Calling all young picky eaters, new and regular farmers’ market shoppers, and families and kids who are curious about farmers and their local food system—join the Power of Produce (POP) Club at your local farmers’ market for fun, in market activities that introduce your child to new fruits and vegetables and develop a deeper relationship with farmers in your market.

Our activities are deeply experiential, supporting kids in building curiosity and excitement around where their food comes from. By bringing children into a relationship with the food they eat and empowering them with resources to make healthy choices, we hope to instill a commitment to eating locally in the next generation of farmers’ market customers. And, for every activity your child participates in, they will earn $2 in POP Bucks to spend at the market!

Join the POP Club at one of PCFMA’s markets to learn more about produce seasonality, how the fruits & veggies coming to your market are grown, soil health, and pollinators that support the local ecosystem, and more!

The Power of Produce (POP) Club is a program developed by the Farmers Market Coalition (FMC) for use at farmers' markets across the country.
