At El Porteo Empanadas, a family-owned business, Joseph and Teresa Ahearne are the founders who continually manage daily operations with a staff of roughly 50 people and counting.

As loyal Napans and San Francisco residents, they support their communities by sourcing many of their ingredients from nearby farms. They see food as a way to bring people together and consider their customers and employees like family.
